Yeah... after reading what I wrote it sounds very complicated. True to the sport, but complicated for a novice. A combination of mini game challenges would be simple enough as well.
Personally, I'd love to see a Q1, Q2, Q3 style management session where the fuel is limited from the start of Q1. The higher the tire wear percentage, the slower your lap time, and have fuel weight be an important factor too. Maybe only 7 laps per session to give everyone one chance to get into the pits and swap tires. Also have the top 10 start on their last tires, with the wear percentage and limit the sets of tires people can use (for instance 2 sets of hards, 1 set of softs for the whole thing) and make running out of fuel a possibility.
It may all be a bit much, but I would love to see something this authentic.
Thanks! I admit, I feel like I finished this game off pretty quickly, but I'm really looking forward to the updates and see this game evolve. Even then, I still find myself knocking out a race here and there. You guys are on to something big!
Could be done similar to the "pass the backmarkers" challenge, except you follow one car that is changing directions fairly constantly. Could be activated via a "DRS" button on the main screen that is only active (X) amount of times per race, and only when you are within 1 second of the car ahead.
The main difference with this challenge and the backmarkers is that catching up would be much more difficult and if possible, not always successful.
I think a limit on how many times you can use it may be needed to keep from using it at every opportunity and taking the "management" aspect out of the game.
